MAR abrasive for metal
Description
MAR grade abrasive products contain either aluminium oxide (A), silicon carbide (C) or a combination of both of these abrasive grain types. (AC)
MAR grade products are for polishing, de-burring or light grinding of ferrous and non-ferrous metals, including Inconel, nimonics, precious metals and titanium
MAR bond wheels find applications for polishing turbine blades, hand tools and general polishing and light de-burring on a wide range of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. In use rubber bonded abrasive wheels offer low vibration, precise control and surface finish equivalent to coated abrasive or resin/vitrified abrasive product with a grit size 3 to 4 times finer. e.g. A80 MAR will give finish equivalent to #240 to #320 resin/vitrified or coated abrasive product of the same abrasive grain type.
