RR5 abrasive for metal
Description
A flexible abrasive wheel using silicon carbide as the abrasive, designed specifically for polishing root radii and platform on turbine blades made of Nimonic and other nickel steel alloys. This grade of wheel can also be used for general purpose polishing and de-burring on a wide range of ferrous and non-ferrous metals.

Applications
"RR5" bond wheels find applications for polishing turbine blades, hand tools and general polishing and light de-burring on a wide range of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. In use rubber bonded abrasive wheels offer low vibration, precise control and surface finish equivalent to coated abrasive or resin/vitrified abrasive product with a grit size 3 to 4 times finer. e.g. C80 RR5 will give finish equivalent to #240 to #320 resin/vitrified or coated abrasive product of the same abrasive grain type.
